One of the tools on the Internet that can be used to promote a business or a cause is wikis. The best known and, by far, largest wiki is Wikipedia, which is an online version of an encyclopedia. However, it’s better than an encyclopedia, because anyone who creates an entry to Wikipedia can update it as new information becomes available.
But wikis are not just Wikipedia. Just as anyone can create their own entry on Wikipedia, they can also create and publish a wiki that serves some other purpose. For instance, a company could create a wiki about the products or services it offers. There is also a wiki website called WikiHow that tells you how to solve many technological problems, such as how to contact Google for tech support. Another wiki is WikiCorporations, which will help you find information about corporations.
